Tuesday night we played the (mostly) aptly named team, "Last Place Team", but we played them to a 1-1 tie! It was a pretty disappointing performance -- let's hope we got it out of our system!

A brand new team of free agents banded together and called themselves The Longest Yard. We started our season against a tough opponent, last year's defending champion Dade. We gave up a quick score, but responded late in the first half when Rob connected with me on a deep post for six. We went to halftime down 7-6.

To start the second half, we traded touchdowns once again and tied things up at 13-13. Then the champs went back to what made them champs, and scored two more quick touchdowns for the final margin of 27-13.

We're quite satisfied with the performance. Many of our players were new to the IBM league, and we were almost all new to one another. It looks like a promising season!

Hey, it's nice to write an entry with that in the title! Our second win of the season, and first that I was in attendance for. I had a busy night at goalie, but we managed to pitch a shutout for 39 minutes (games are 40 minutes). One of our best efforts on the season!

At 27, I'm the second-oldest player on my team. :-O

Flag football season is just around the corner. I've joined another rag-tag team of free agents, with a few holdovers from last year, called The Longest Yard. Judging from our scrimmage tonight, we're going to have a decent team! So far the highlight is the return of our leading receiver from last year (Andre). Here's to hoping for a good year!

We did not bring our A game on Tuesday night and were dealt our second loss of the season. Two second-half goals were the margin in a 2-0 defeat.

It's people like this that steer women away from the Internet.

Our Christmas present to each other arrived early. Let's just sum the package up in one word: sweet.

In Parkersburg last week, I went swimming for the first time in about six months. I did a full kilometer in the pool, and boy was it tough. I was gasping for air after each of the first few laps. Finally I forced myself to calm down and slowly drag my sinking legs across the pool one lap at a time.

Apparently Eagles Fans just gave him a three-week deadline to win the Super Bowl. What a tough town!
