Puff the Magic Labrador
That is my new nickname for Scout! Still puffed up and itchy from her allergy (unless it was something else). She is feeling good otherwise, and she is glad to get the extra peanut butter we use to help her down the Benadryl!

Scout's face is all puffed up
I don't know why, but it sure looks like some sort of allergic reaction. I didn't see her get into anything, but both sides of her lips are huge, as well as a large bump on her nose. Her eyes look a little red too. The vet suggested we give her Benadryl and keep an eye on her. I think the swelling has already gone down a little bit. I hope she looks normal again in the morning!

Bonked in the nose!
I bent down to pick up Scout for her bath, and she jumped up to help me lift her up. Unfortunately, I was not expecting her to jump, and her rock-hard forehead connected with my nose! Even drew a little blood. She's too cute to stay mad at though :-)

13.1 mile run... then went to a new restaurant
I wanted to make this weekend's long run a good one, since I will probably not run next weekend while I visit baby Cassidy. I watched Spanglish and two episodes of Family Guy while I ran -- thumbs up to each.
We went to the dog park in the afternoon, then came home for a nap. After that, we went to Salsa Fresh, a new restaurant in town. As you might not have guessed, they had the worst salsa I've ever tasted! Fortunately it came on the side, and the entrees were great!

Great football last night!
I really enjoyed both games last night. Sorry to the Patriots fans, especially those in my family, but I'm tired of hearing how the Patriots/Bill Belichick/Tom Brady are God's gift to clutch football. Congratulations to Peyton Manning, Tony Dungy, and Lovie Smith for going to the Superbowl and proving the writers wrong!

Another 10 mile (treadmill) run
Getting back on the running wagon, while still experiencing some nagging hamstring issues. It only gets bad when it is cold, which is a bummer for wintertime! I watched Master and Commander for my running entertainment. Kinda entertaining, although I could have done without the scene where the doctor performs 1800s-style surgery on himself!
