Soccer: Men's team finishes at 4-4
We came out flat for our last game, but have secured at least the 4 seed, with a chance at the 3 seed, in our 6 team tournament. Playoffs start in two weeks!

Shutout victory, and guaranteed non-losing season!
Last night our men's soccer team posted a 2-0 victory on the strength of timely shooting, strong defense, and good enough goalkeeping from me. We're now 4-3 with one game to play, meaning we are guaranteed to finish at least .500 for the season, our first non-losing season in a couple of years!

Soccer defeat on a last minute penalty kick
We played a great game last night, but unfortunately they called a PK against us with no time left on the clock. The PK was the difference in a 2-1 loss. I think our team is looking pretty good though, and could do well in the playoffs!

Ate a fried Snickers bar...
and it was good! It was a fun treat to have at the NC State Fair. I also got to play a nostalgic game of Skeeball :-)

Winning streak!
Men's soccer team won 6-1 last night on the strength of some accurate shooting. Things were pretty quiet in our own goal, which was fine with me!

Soccer victory at last!
My men's soccer team won 2-0 tonight, on the strength of timely shooting and clutch defense. I played goalkeeper and made some game-changing saves, including a couple of defensed corner kicks and a save on a point-blank header where I ended up crashing into the goalpost. We got out to an early two goal lead, and for something different, we played a capable second half! It's much nicer to win those games you lead at halftime :-)
