Here I am, enjoying Penn State's own Mount Nittany. Since my seven month stay in Colorado, I've become a bigger fan of the outdoors. My hobbies include digital photography, running, soccer, basketball, computers, and video games. I have run two half-marathon races and I am training for two more half-marathons and a full marathon.
I enjoy reading non-fiction, including reading about current events, technology, sports, and politics. My favorite authors include Michael Lewis and Gregg Easterbrook. I also enjoy the latest puzzle crazes of Sudoku and Kakuro.
I am a proud graduate of the Penn State University. I graduated in May 2003 with an Honors Bachelor and Master of Science in Computer Science. My original home with the Freed Family is Souderton, PA, which is 35 miles north of Philadelphia. In Souderton I lived with my parents Ron and Debbie, my sister Amy,and my late dog Shorty. I now live in Cary NC, which is between Raleigh and Durham, with my lovely wife Elise.
I work for IBM in the Research Triangle Park of North Carolina. As a software engineer, I have worked on several projects using J2EE, J2SE, and systems management technologies. I started in June 2003 and have enjoyed both my work and my co-workers.
I enjoy playing with my dogs Hank and Scout and taking them for walks. Both are rescue dogs. Hank is a five year old Beagle mix, and Scout is a two year old Lab/English Setter mix. Hank's hobbies are sleeping and playing with his stuffed cow. Scout's hobbies are running, licking, chewing bones, and small-scale demolition.
I hope this has helped you learn more about me. Please enjoy the rest of your stay at Freedville Central!
