50K, 100 minutes, 100 degrees... all figures approximate
I had another hot and challenging bike ride, which was only 100 seconds slower than my record ride last Monday. An hour before we started, the weather was upper 90s with the heat index over 100. A few clouds and some breeze moved in before the ride, but it was still quite toasty and a bit muggy. We went 33 miles in 1:46:40, good for an 18.5mph average. I once again had to do the last hill in the "granny gear", but I'm slowly getting better.
